Here kitty, kitty...

Well into our second week of living at our new house our cat Jayden who we have had for 10 years decides to go and climb a tree...not just any tree but one of the huge ones in our yard. Look below where the picture has a pink circle on it...yep that would be Jayden. Silly cat!

We tried all different ways to get her down, but she wasn't budging. Dusty even got a large ladder out and tried to get her down but nothing. So the next day she still hadn't moved I asked Dusty if we should call the fire dept. he said that they probably only rescue cats in the movies not real life, but I called and asked anyways. The Lincoln County Fire Dept. said they would be out in a hour and a half. Grant and Gracie was pretty thrilled getting to watch the fire truck pull up in their yard.
They were awesome, there were four firemen and it took longer to get the truck ready than the actual rescue. They walked up the ladder and rescued our cat!

The next day we went to town and bought two platters of cookies and delivered them to the Fire Station along with a thank you card to show our appreciation! Hopefully we don't have to do that again anytime soon!
